CONFERENCE 2015
Welcome to the Ife Humanities Conference website. It is an annual conference. The next edition will take place between March 23rd – 26th, 2015 at Conference Centre, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. The theme is The Humanities and the Challenges of Development in Africa.

Conference Date Remains Unchanged
Notwithstanding the rescheduled Nigerian General Elections, Arrival remains 23rd March, the Opening Ceremony will take place on Tuesday 24th March, and presentations will end on Wednesday 25th March. This will enable participants to depart Ile-Ife by first light on Thursday 26th, reunite with their families and participate actively in the elections on Saturday 28th March, 2015.
Extension of Date for Submission of Abstracts (07 March 2015)
We will continue to receive abstracts up till a few days before the conference; but abstracts received after 7th March may not appear in the conference Book of abstracts. So endeavour to submit your abstract in good time. Abstracts must address any one of the subthemes (visit website: http://humanitiesconference.wix.com/humanitiesconference for full list), should not exceed 150 words and sent to ifehumanitiesconference2015@gmail.com before 7th March 2015.
